KINGSTON – The highly anticipated Grade 6 PEP results are set to come out this Friday, June 26, 2020. The Primary Exit Profile (PEP) examinations will determine students’ entry into Jamaican high schools.
Amid the concerns about schools reopening in September, after what we knew then as ‘regular’ school’ sessions were interrupted in mid May, and online classes were made to substitute regular classroom sessions. Despite the uncertainty, people are still awaiting to hear the results and placements of the island’s Grade 6 Students into Secondary schools.
The Grade 6 Performance Tasks were set to be done on March 19th and 20th, it was cancelled due to the novel corona virus disease, COVID-19. the subsequent examination, the Curriculum Based Tests, scheduled to be administered in April, 2020, was also cancelled.
The results of the Grade 6 PEP examinations will be determinant only on the results of the Grade 6 Ability Test done on February 25, 2020 – since the Grade 6 Performance Tasks and the Curriculum Based Tests were not administered, and the results of these students’ Grade 5 and Grade 4 PEP Performance Tasks. the
