Grade 6 PEP Ability Test Examination less than a month away

The PEP Ability Test examination is 23 days away. Grade six students, teachers and parents alike are assiduously preparing for the examination; it will be administered on May 26, 2021. The Minstry of Education, Youth and Information advised that the other two components, the Performance Task and Curriculum Based Test  were excluded from the Grade 6 Primary Exit Profile examination.

The duration of PEP Ability Test examination is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Students are required to complete 40 Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning  multiple choice questions. The questions will be compiled from specific topics. Quantitative Reasoning: Patterns, Representing and Comparing quantities, Data Analysis, Problem Solving and Approximation/Estimation. Verbal Reasoning: Analogy, Classification, Text Completion, Essential Part, Logical Deductions, Sequencing Reading Passages and Artifical Language.

Various PEP Workshops, both Ministry-hosted and others private tutors are being held to bridge the digital gap between students and classroom. However, it’s a fact the many students still encounter various challenges to that will hinder true success in their examination. Unfortunately some students will be unable to sit the examination, simply because of total absence from school.

The Grade 5 and 4 Performance Task Examinations are both scheduled to be administered in June, 2021.
