PEP Results to Be Released This Friday

Kingston, Jamaica – June 18, 2025:
The Ministry of Education and Youth has announced that the Primary Exit Profile (PEP) results for Grade 6 students will be released this Friday, June 20, 2025. Thousands of students across the island are eagerly waiting to learn which high schools they have been placed in.

PEP is the national assessment that determines placement for secondary school. It replaces the old GSAT system and is designed to test not only content knowledge but also critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Students were assessed in several areas, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, as well as through a Performance Task and Ability Test.

Parents, teachers, and students have all expressed a mix of nervousness and excitement. Many schools have already begun preparations for orientation sessions based on the results.

How to Access the Results:
Results will be made available through schools. Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact their child’s school to find out when and how they can collect the placement information. The Ministry may also provide online access through its official website.

Ministry Encourages Support:
The Ministry is reminding parents to support and encourage their children regardless of the placement outcome. “Each child has unique strengths and talents. This is just one step in their educational journey,” a statement from the Ministry read.

The release of PEP results is always a significant moment in Jamaica’s academic calendar, and this year is no different. Congratulations in advance to all students for their hard work and dedication!
