New dates for Grade 5 and 4 exams

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information has set the dates of  June 15 and 16, 2021 for the administration of the Grade Five Primary Exit Profile (PEP) – Performance Task . The students will be required to complete a task from the four key subject areas: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts.

PEP Webinar: Developing 21st Century Skill

On Saturday, January 30, 2021, PEP Practice will host it’s first webinar on Developing 21st Century skills. The focus of the webinar will be on Problem Solving skills and Prewriting strategies. Forming opinions and citing evidence from sources

Most Language Art PEP performance tasks will have a writing task formerly known as the Communication Task in GSAT. In these writing task, students are required to analyze and sometimes critique details from various sources of information, which are sometimes in tabular form.

Ministry increases PEP workshops ahead of PEP Performance Task

The Ministry of Education is adomant in ensuring that teachers are adequately trained to prepare students for the Performance Task to be held on March 27 and 28, 2019. Efforts to increase the number of workshops in each constituency is evident.
